ABOUT US

Fulfilling our aviation dreams as we mentor and serve our clients.

Putting Clients First

Since 2017

DoubleDay was established in 2017 by Tim McConnell with a desire to continue fulfilling his aviation dreams. Because of his extensive background in all things aviation including four decades of experience as a pilot, teacher, and aircraft services provider, Tim knew that mentorship goes a long way in the aviation industry. He started DoubleDay so that clients could feel dialed into the aviation community.

In addition to convenient charter flight services, DoubleDay focuses on aircraft managementairplane brokerage and acquisition services, and training pilots to take on the skies, all while listening to their clients’ needs so they can help them get the most out of their investment.

Brian Vera, Director of Maintenance

Brian Vera

Director of Maintenance

Brian was born in the United States before living in South America where he learned from his father how to work on airplanes. His father, an Aeronautical Engineer and A&P mechanic, taught him how to properly service clients and take care of airplanes from an early age.

Arriving back in the USA in the 90’s, he knew he was going to follow in his father’s footsteps. After high school he joined the United States Navy, where he specialized in aviation, mainly on the F-18 Hornet fighter aircraft. While enrolled he obtained his Airframe and Powerplant License from the FAA. After leaving the military he finished his aeronautical career at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and at the same time he obtained his Inspection Authorization certification.

Brian is also an Airline Transport Pilot with a few jet type ratings. He has repaired, exported and imported airplanes to South America and Europe for clients. During that period he met his wife, Vanessa, and formed Touch N Go Aeroworks, an aircraft maintenance facility at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, in 2008. From that point on, Brian has always focused on safety, customer service and professionalism. A few years later, Brian and Vanessa moved their operation to the Greenville Downtown Airport in Greenville, South Carolina, where they have grown it into one of the most successful shops in the Greenville area.

After spending four summers on a cattle ranch constantly observing F-16s and C-130s flying low and fast across the prairies of Colorado, Ezra decided to pursue his lifelong interest in aviation.

After completing his commercial pilot’s certificate, Ezra continued on to complete his CFI-I, AGI and IGI. After months of instructing, he took the opportunity to serve as a charter pilot flying turboprops throughout the Southeast.

Ezra is thankful for the chance to continue flying and instructing alongside the experienced aviators here at DoubleDay, and he looks forward to sharing his passion for aviation with others.
